This will\u00a0allow File History to include those cloud files in the next backup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-11\">Windows 11<\/a> (and 10), you can <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/create-file-backup-file-history-windows-11\/\">set up File History<\/a> to automatically back up your personal files to an external storage. However, if you use <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/onedrive\/\">OneDrive<\/a> to sync your documents, pictures, and videos across devices, you probably notice that the OneDrive folder won&#8217;t back up when you run the tool.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, this is not a problem with File History or OneDrive. Instead, since the <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/onedrive-files-on-demand-windows-10\/\">Files On-Demand<\/a> feature was introduced to help you save space on your device, File History ignores the OneDrive folder because it assumes that all your files reside in the cloud.<\/p>\n<p>Although your OneDrive files are always backed up in the cloud, if you also want to have a copy of your cloud files in your local backup, you can disable the Files On-Demand feature.
