However, it&#8217;s up to the developer to implement these functionalities.<\/p>\n<p>In this <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/how-to\/\">guide<\/a>, I will teach you the steps to install the web version of Office apps as regular desktop applications on <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-10\/\">Windows 10<\/a> as well as on Windows 11. If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/install-microsoft-365-office-apps-windows-11-10\/\">install the Office apps<\/a> with these instructions.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"toc\">\n<li><a href=\"#install_pwa_windows10\">Install Office web apps on Windows<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#uninstall_pwa_windows10\">Uninstall Office web apps on Windows<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"install_pwa_windows10\">Install Office web apps on Windows\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-11\">Windows 11<\/a> (and 10), you can install web services as apps through Edge and Chrome.<\/p>\n<h3>From Microsoft Edge<\/h3>\n<p>To install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook web apps, use these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Open <strong>Microsoft Edge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Open the Office web app to install, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/office.live.com\/start\/Word.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Word<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/office.live.com\/start\/Excel.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Excel<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/office.live.com\/start\/PowerPoint.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PowerPoint<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/outlook.live.com\/mail\/0\/inbox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Outlook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"tip-box\"><span><strong>Quick tip:<\/strong> If you install the web app using the start page when creating a new document, it automatically opens another window.
