Whether you&#8217;re working late and don&#8217;t want to disturb someone after hours, or you&#8217;re trying to ensure a message lands at the top of someone&#8217;s inbox during their workday, scheduling emails can come in handy.<\/p>\n<p>I usually find myself relying on Outlook&#8217;s scheduling features more than I expected, especially when managing communications across different time zones or planning follow-ups in advance.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, Microsoft Outlook makes it easy to schedule emails, whether you&#8217;re using the classic desktop version as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/microsoft-365-personal-vs-microsoft-365-family-features-pricing\/\">Microsoft 365<\/a>, Office 2019, or Office 2016, or the new Outlook app for Windows 11. The feature is also available through the web version of Outlook.<\/p>\n<p>In this <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/how-to\">guide<\/a>, I&#8217;ll outline the steps to configure delivery options to schedule an email to send later using the old and new versions of Outlook on <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-11\">Windows 11<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"toc\">\n<li><a the <strong>Outlook<\/strong> app.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>New Email<\/strong> button from the &#8220;Home&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Compose your message.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Options<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Under the &#8220;More options&#8221; section, click the <strong>Delay Delivery<\/strong> Windows 11, use these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Open the <strong>Outlook <\/strong>app.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the<strong> New mail<\/strong> button (Ctrl + N).<\/p>\n<div <strong>&#8220;Drafts&#8221;<\/strong> folder with the <strong>&#8220;Schedule Send&#8221;<\/strong> label. At the specified schedule, the email will be sent to the recipient automatically.<\/p>\n<p>Since the Outlook email client is connected to the web experience, you do not need to have the app open for the schedule to work.<\/p>\n<h3>Customize email schedule in Outlook<\/h3>\n<p>To change or remove the scheduled email in Outlook, use these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Open <strong>Outlook<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click on <strong>Drafts<\/strong> from the left navigation pane.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select the email with the schedule.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Send Schedule Options<\/strong> button on the top right.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Choose the <strong>Modify Email<\/strong> option from the
