{"id":130850,"date":"2021-03-19T10:11:38","date_gmt":"2021-03-19T14:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/?p=130850"},"modified":"2021-03-19T10:12:38","modified_gmt":"2021-03-19T14:12:38","slug":"kb5001649-windows-10-fix-printing-issue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/kb5001649-windows-10-fix-printing-issue\/","title":{"rendered":"Windows 10 update KB5001649 outs to fix more printing issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On March 18, Microsoft made available yet another update (KB5001649) for <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-10\">Windows 10<\/a> to address more printing issues caused by the first fix released on March 15.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/release-health\/windows-message-center#1575\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to the company<\/a>, after installing the <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/kb5001567-windows-10-fix-blue-screen-printing-problem\/\">update KB5001567 (March 15 update)<\/a>, devices may receive unexpected results when printing from some apps or to some printers. Some problems include missing or solid color graphics, misalignment and formatting issues, or printing blank pages.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of these problems, the company is now expediting a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/march-18-2021-kb5001649-os-builds-19041-870-and-19042-870-out-of-band-ebbe0617-3a63-467a-aaaa-2a4c68a6de33\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new out-of-band update<\/a> to resolve the issue. The update is available as an optional update, so you need to download and install it manually through Windows Update.<\/p>\n<p>You can do this by going to <strong>Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Update &amp; Security<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Windows Update<\/strong>. Then, click the <strong>Check for Updates<\/strong> button, and then under the \u201cOptional quality update available\u201d section, click the <strong>Download and install<\/strong> option. After the installation, the version number will bump to build 19041.870 and 19042.870, depending on whether you are using version 2004 or 20H2.<\/p>\n<p>The update is also available for download through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catalog.update.microsoft.com\/Search.aspx?q=KB5001649\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Update Catalog website<\/a>.
