Sneakernet was the first method of transferring data between computers by physically moving storage devices instead of using a network connection.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, if you have to share (or transfer) files to another device, it may be faster and more convenient to connect an external drive to the computer, copy the files onto it, and then connect the drive to the destination device and transfer the files manually.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, if you have a Network-Attached Storage (NAS), you don&#8217;t need to set up a shared folder on your computer.
