If the device uses a standard account, the user will need the password of an administrator to allow the action.<\/p>\n<p>Although this feature enables a more secure environment, sometimes you may want to disable it. If you have a Standard account, you will need to provide an Administrator password to complete the action.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>OK<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once you complete the steps, the new setting will apply, and you will no longer receive a prompt again to elevate an action.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"disable_uac_gpedit_windows11\">Disable User Account Control with Group Policy<\/h2>\n<p>To use Group Policy to disable the UAC security feature on Windows 11, use these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Open <strong>Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Search for\u00a0<strong>gpedit<\/strong>, and click the top result to open\u00a0the <strong>Local Group Policy Editor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Browse the following path:<\/p>\n<pre>Computer Configuration &gt;
