Although the app is limited, it includes the necessary features to create a full backup on the entire system, including primary and secondary drives, allowing you to recover the setup and files in case of hardware problems, malware attacks like ransomware, or when replacing the system’s hard drive.<\/p>\n

This guide<\/a> will teach you the steps to create a backup of the entire computer using Veeam on Windows 11.<\/p>\n

Create Windows 11 full backup with Veeam<\/h2>\n

Before using Veeam to back up your computer to an external USB drive, you have to download and install the application.<\/p>\n

Install Veeam on Windows 11<\/h3>\n

To download and install the Veeam on Windows 11, use these steps:<\/p>\n

      After you complete the steps, the full backup of your computer running Windows 11 be created on the schedule you specified. When the job runs for the first time, it’ll make a full backup, and any subsequent run will be an incremental backup. Veeam will delete the files when the backup retention expires and create a new full backup on Windows 11.<\/p>\n

      You can always open the Veeam from the Start menu or system tray to access the backup job to edit the settings.<\/p>\n

      Since this is the free edition of Veeam, you can only create one backup job and cannot change the backup type (for example, from incremental to differential).<\/p>\n

      Restore Windows 11 full backup using Veeam\u00a0<\/h2>\n

      After a system error, hardware failure, or hardware replacement, you must create a recovery media that you can use to start the computer to recover the system.<\/p>\n

      Create recovery media<\/h3>\n

      To create a Veeam recovery media, connect a USB flash drive to your computer, and use these steps:<\/p>\n
