The app also works to remap shortcuts. You can learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/windows-11-mssettings-uri-commands\/\">Windows 11 URIs on this page<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>(Optional) Specify the name of the <strong>&#8220;.exe&#8221;<\/strong> program (for example, msedge.exe (Edge), explorer.exe (File Explorer), and chrome.exe (Google Chrome)) to target the shortcut on a specific application.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>OK<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After you complete the steps, the Windows shortcut remap will perform the action you configured in the application.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to remove the remap, you can go to the <strong>&#8220;Remap a key&#8221;<\/strong> or <strong>&#8220;Remap shortcuts&#8221;<\/strong> page and click the <strong>&#8220;Delete&#8221;<\/strong> (trash) button for the action you want to remove.<\/p>\n<p>Although PowerToys can make it easier to remap keys and shortcuts on Windows, it&#8217;s important to note that the application doesn&#8217;t make system changes, meaning that the remaps will only work as long as PowerToys is running on the system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update July 8, 2024:<\/strong> This guide has been updated to ensure accuracy and reflect changes to the process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you need to reassign keyboard keys or shortcuts?
