{"id":153680,"date":"2023-03-24T17:11:02","date_gmt":"2023-03-24T21:11:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/?p=153680"},"modified":"2023-03-24T17:11:02","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T21:11:02","slug":"windows-11-bring-back-disable-date-time-taskbar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/windows-11-bring-back-disable-date-time-taskbar\/","title":{"rendered":"Windows 11 to bring back option to disable date and time in Taskbar"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"sum\">\n<li>Microsoft is working on several new improvements for Windows 11.<\/li>\n<li>Some of these new changes include an option to remove the date and time and the notification counter from the Taskbar.<\/li>\n<li>Soundscape page to manage theme sounds from the Settings app and new shortcut for open screen recorder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Microsoft is currently experimenting with a number of features for future updates of <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-11\">Windows 11<\/a>. In particular, the company plans to bring back the ability to disable the date and time and the notification counter from the Taskbar&#8217;s System Tray.<\/p>\n<p>The option to disable, hide, or remove the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/i\/web\/status\/1638624421496627219\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">date and time<\/a> from the System Tray has been available in previous versions of the operating system. However, that&#8217;s not an option on Windows 11 since the company is still building the new Taskbar experience.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the feature is still hidden and cannot be easily enabled manually. However, instead of removing the counter altogether, you will see an element that will keep the counter at zero. On Windows 11, you can also personalize the desktop experience with themes, but you still have to access Control Panel to manage related sounds. Furthermore, the company has also said that in future updates, it will change the default screenshot setting to open the Snipping Tool in screenshot mode when pressing the &#8220;Print&#8221; key on the keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these settings, the development team is also working on several other features you can enable manually and test right now, including a new interface in the Settings app to <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/enable-new-refs-dev-drive-creation-settings-windows-11\/\">create ReFS Dev Drives<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/enable-new-virtual-disks-settings-windows-11\/\">virtual hard disks (VHDX)<\/a>. Also, in <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/enable-new-start-menu-settings-websites-badges-windows-11\/\">the &#8220;Start&#8221; settings<\/a> page, the company is testing a couple of options to enable or disable recent websites in the &#8220;Recommendation&#8221;
