Windows 11 build 23493<\/a> comes with the addition of a new Home page experience for the Settings app, but if it’s not available on your installation, use these instructions to enable it. Microsoft is bringing back the “Home” page to the Settings app with interactive cards representing various device and account-related settings grouped based on how you access the settings.<\/p>\n

Initially, the page can show up to seven cards, including Recommended settings, Cloud storage, Account recovery, Personalization, Microsoft 365, Xbox, and Bluetooth devices, but the company plans to add even more cards in future releases.<\/p>\n

If you want to get hands-on with the new homepage for Settings, you can use a third-party tool called “ViveTool,” created by Rafael Rivera<\/a> and Lucas on GitHub<\/a>, to enable the experience (via @XenoPanther<\/a>) on your computer.<\/p>\n

This guide<\/a> will teach you the steps to enable the new Settings homepage on Windows 11.<\/p>\n

Enable new Settings Home page on Windows 11<\/h2>\n

To enable the new Home page for the Settings app, use these steps:<\/p>\n

    Open GitHub<\/strong> website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Download the ViveTool-vx.x.x.zip<\/strong> file to enable the new Settings’ Home.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Double-click the zip folder to open it with File Explorer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Click the Extract all<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

    Copy the path to the folder.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Open Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Search for Command Prompt<\/strong>, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Type the following command to navigate to the ViveTool folder and press Enter<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    cd c:\\folder\\path\\ViveTool-v0.x.x<\/pre>\n
    In the command, remember to change the path to the folder with your path.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Type the following command to enable the Home page for Settings and press Enter<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    Restart the computer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Once you complete the steps, the next time you open the Settings app, the Home page will appear as the default page when launching the app with the different cards.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    • Personalization:<\/strong> Surfaces customization with one-click access to update your background theme or change color mode.<\/li>\n
    • Microsoft 365:<\/strong> Provides a quick glimpse of your subscription status and benefits and the ability to take key actions.<\/li>\n
    • Xbox:<\/strong> Offers a view of your subscription status and options to manage the subscription.<\/li>\n
