If you want to perform an in-place upgrade, you&#8217;ll have to edit the Registry before the Windows Setup could work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UPDATED 10\/14\/2024: <\/strong>The Rufus tool allows you to create a bootable USB flash drive to <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/install-windows-11-unsupported-pc\/\">install Windows 11 24H2 on unsupported hardware<\/a>, and in this guide, I will show you how to complete this process.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a computer running <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-10\">Windows 10<\/a> or another version of the operating system, but it doesn&#8217;t meet the hardware requirements to <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/upgrade-windows-11-24h2\/\">upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 (2024 Update)<\/a>, you can use the Rufus tool to build a custom installation media that bypasses (most) the <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/windows-11-24h2-system-requirements\/\">hardware requirements<\/a>, including the minimum memory requirement, Secure Boot, and TPM 2.0.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The tool also allows you to disable and bypass the internet requirements to <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/install-windows-11-without-microsoft-account\/\">set up a Windows 11 installation without a Microsoft account<\/a> using a local account. Furthermore, starting on version 24H2, the setup <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/stop-automatic-bitlocker-device-encryption-install-windows-11\/\">enables BitLocker automatically during installation<\/a>, and if this is something you don&#8217;t want, Rufus includes an option to prevent the system from turning on the feature.<\/p>\n<p>You can also use Ventoy, a third-party tool like Rufus. The difference is that Ventoy is an app you install on a USB flash drive and makes any ISO file bootable from virtually any platform, including Windows 11 24H2. In addition, by default, the tool applies the workarounds to bypass the hardware requirements automatically without extra steps.<\/p>\n<p>You will still need a computer with at least TPM 1.2 and a processor with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/windows-11-24h2-fail-boot-unsupported-cpus\/\">&#8220;POPCNT&#8221; (Population Count) instruction<\/a>. file to launch the Windows Setup. (Eventually, these commands will run automatically in future releases of the Rufus tool.)<\/p>\n<div id=\"tip-box\"><span><strong>Warning:<\/strong> Before proceeding, it&#8217;s crucial to acknowledge the risks associated with modifying the Windows Registry. Incorrect changes can lead to system instability or operational issues. Therefore, ensure you have a <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/backup-windows-11-external-usb-drive\">full system backup<\/a> before making any changes.
