This helps the processor fetch instructions ahead of time, improving performance, and in this case, it also enhances gaming performance.<\/p>\n<p>The processor manufacturer said that this problem would be resolved with the release of Windows 11 24H2, and testing conducted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rlfTHCzBnnQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube channel Hardware Unboxed<\/a> showed that the new feature update improved performance by up to 11 percent. However, it has also been found that <a href=\"https:\/\/wccftech.com\/amd-branch-prediction-optimization-ryzen-9000-7000-cpus-available-windows-11-23h2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft is also porting the changes to Windows 11 23H2<\/a> in the latest system update KB5041587.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to boost your computer performance as soon as possible, you can either install the latest system update on version 23H2 or upgrade to version 24H2. (<a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/optimize-gaming-performance-windows-11\/\">Disabling memory integrity and virtualization<\/a> can further optimize the operating system for gaming.)<\/p>\n<p>In this <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/how-to\">guide<\/a>, I will show you the steps to update and upgrade your AMD Ryzen (7950X, 7900X, 5950X, 5900X, or\u00a0 7800X3D, 7700X, or 7600X) computer to boost gaming performance on Windows 11.<\/p>\n<h2>Boost gaming performance on AMD Ryzen systems<\/h2>\n<p>If you have a computer running Windows 11, you have two options to improve gaming performance. You can install the latest preview of the <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/windows-11-september-2024-update\/\">September 2024 Patch Tuesday Update<\/a> for version 23H2 or try an early upgrade to Windows 11 24H2.<\/p>\n<h3>Install update KB5041587 on Windows 11 23H2 (preview)<\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;re still on version 22H2, <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/upgrade-windows-11-23h2\/\">upgrade to version 23H2<\/a>, and then download and install the newest system update.<\/p>\n<p>To install the Windows 11 update KB5041587, use these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Open <strong>Settings<\/strong> on Windows 11.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click on <strong>Windows Update<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Check the <strong>&#8220;Get the latest updates as soon as they&#8217;re available&#8221;<\/strong> toggle switch to download the update KB5041587.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Check for updates<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-164438\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pureinfotech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/windows-11-install_update.webp?resize=827%2C441&#038;quality=78&#038;strip=all&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Windows 11 check and install updates\" width=\"827\" height=\"441\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pureinfotech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/windows-11-install_update.webp?w=906&amp;quality=78&amp;strip=all&amp;ssl=1 906w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pureinfotech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/windows-11-install_update.webp?resize=300%2C160&amp;quality=78&amp;strip=all&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pureinfotech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/windows-11-install_update.webp?resize=150%2C80&amp;quality=78&amp;strip=all&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 827px) 100vw, 827px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>&#8220;Download and install&#8221;<\/strong> option to apply a preview (if applicable).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Restart now<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once you complete the steps, the preview for the update KB5041587 will download and install automatically on Windows 11 23H2.<\/p>\n<p>Other ways to <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/install-updates-manually-windows-11\/\">download and install Windows 11 updates manually<\/a> include using the Microsoft Update Catalog website, Command Prompt, PowerShell, and more.<\/p>\n<h3>Upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 (preview)<\/h3>\n<p>Windows 11 24H2 is expected to launch sometime in September or October, but if you can&#8217;t wait, you can still perform an in-place upgrade. You will install the feature update&#8217;s preview version, but the update is almost finished.
