It&#8217;s similar to adaptive brightness but not the same.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/copilot-plus-pc-vs-ai-pc-vs-pc\/\">Copilot+ PCs<\/a> and other modern laptops can also include specific sensors that detect the presence of a person or object nearby. If so, Windows 11 will also enable the <strong>&#8220;Presence Sensing&#8221;<\/strong> features. One of these features is <strong>&#8220;Dim my screen when I look away,&#8221;<\/strong> which, as the name implies, lowers the screen brightness as you look away and increases it again as you look into the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Although these features help minimize energy usage, expand battery life, and lower your carbon footprint, they can also confuse you into thinking that the brightness isn&#8217;t working, as it may appear that the device changes intensity at random.<\/p>\n<p>I recently bought a Copilot+ PC, and as I started using it, I noticed the screen changing brightness as soon as I turned my head away. You can always change these settings from the <strong>&#8220;Screen, sleep, &amp; hibernate timeouts&#8221;<\/strong> setting on the &#8220;Power &amp; battery&#8221; page.<\/p>\n<p>Usually, these features are only available on laptops and tablets. Also, if you can&#8217;t find the <strong>&#8220;Dim my screen when I look away&#8221; <\/strong>feature, it&#8217;s likely because the device doesn&#8217;t support the <strong>&#8220;Presence Sensing.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can confirm\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">whether your computer includes presence sensors from\u00a0<strong>Device Manager<\/strong>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>Sensors<\/strong>.
