In this guide, I will explain the feature and the steps to enable and use it.<\/p>\n<p>The new flyout is currently available on the Beta Channel, with the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/kb5050105-22635-4805-windows-11\/\">Windows 11 build 22635.4805 (KB5050105)<\/a> (via <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/phantomofearth\/status\/1882954297757007886\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@PhantonOfEarth<\/a>). However, it&#8217;s an experimental feature, so you must enable it manually using the ViveTool.<\/p>\n<h2>What is Drag Tray?<\/h2>\n<p>Drag Tray is a flyout that appears at the top edge of the screen with different options for sharing a file. However, it&#8217;s only for individual files. You cannot share a collection of files, a folder, or a container like &#8220;.zip&#8221; files.<\/p>\n<p>The suggestions of apps to share files depend on the supported applications installed on your computer. The flyout also provides another option to open the &#8220;Windows Share&#8221; interface.<\/p>\n<p>This feature intends to make sharing files easier, faster, and more intuitive.<\/p>\n<p>In this <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/how-to\">guide<\/a>, I&#8217;ll explain the steps to enable and get started with the new interface to share files on Windows 11.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"toc\">\n<li><a href=\"#enable_dragtray_windows11\">Enable Drag Tray for file-sharing on Windows 11<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#use_dragtray_windows11\">Use Drag Tray to share files on Windows 11<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"enable_dragtray_windows11\">Enable Drag Tray for file-sharing on Windows 11<\/h2>\n<p>To enable the Drag Tray flyout to share files on Windows 11, use these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/thebookisclosed\/ViVe\/releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Open <strong>GitHub<\/strong> website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Download the <strong>ViveTool-vx.x.x.zip<\/strong> file to enable the new Drag Tray feature.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Double-click the zip folder to open it with File Explorer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Extract all<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full 827px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Extract<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Copy the path to the folder.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Open <strong>Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Search for <strong>Command Prompt<\/strong>, right-click the top result, and select <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/run-app-administrator-windows\/\">the <strong>Run as administrator<\/strong> option<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Type the following command to navigate to the ViveTool folder and press <strong>Enter<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<pre>cd c:\\folder\\path\\ViveTool-v0.x.x<\/pre>\n<p>In the command, remember to change the path to the folder with your path.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Type the following command to enable the Drag Tray flyout in the Folder Options and press <strong>Enter<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<pre>vivetool \/enable \/id:45624564,53397005,48433719<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Restart the computer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once you complete the steps, you can start using the Drag Tray feature on your computer to share files.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to undo the changes, you can follow the same instructions outlined above, but in step 10, run the <code>vivetool \/disable \/id:45624564,53397005,48433719<\/code> command.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"use_dragtray_windows11\">Use Drag Tray to share files on Windows 11<\/h2>\n<p>To share files with Drag Tray, use these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Open <strong>File Explorer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Open the file location.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select and drag the file to the top edge of the screen to open the Drag Tray flyout.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>(Option 1) Drop the file on the application you want to use the share with.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>(Option 2) Drop the file over the <strong>&#8220;More
