While this preview doesn&#8217;t introduce many flashy changes, it marks the first build that officially changes the version number to 25H2.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.windows.com\/windows-insider\/2025\/06\/27\/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-26200-5670-dev-channel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official changes<\/a>, the update KB5060838 introduces 1Password support for the passkey feature and updates the process to make it easier for users in Europe to set up their default apps.<\/p>\n<p>This preview build also introduces various fixes for File Explorer, the Start menu, and other areas. Of course, this is in addition to known issues.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Microsoft was also rolling out <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.windows.com\/windows-insider\/2025\/06\/27\/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-26120-4520-beta-channel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windows 11 build 26120.4520 (KB5060834)<\/a> in the Beta Channel, with the same improvements, but with the difference that these changes are available for version 24H2.<\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s new on Windows 11 build 26200.5670 (Dev)<\/h2>\n<p>These are the new features and fixes coming to Windows 11 25H2:<\/p>\n    <div class=\"responsive-youtube-container\">\n        <iframe\n            src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-NVKIcl_4bE?rel=0&showinfo=0\"\n            frameborder=\"0\"\n            allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\"\n            allowfullscreen\n            loading=\"lazy\"\n        ><\/iframe>\n    <\/div>\n<h3>Passkeys with 1Password support<\/h3>\n<p>Starting with this release, Microsoft is taking another step toward eliminating passwords on <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/tag\/windows-11\">Windows 11<\/a> with the seamless support for plugin-based passkey managers, with 1Password (beta) as the first integrated provider.<\/p>\n<p>This means you can now store and use passkeys directly through 1Password and log in using Windows Hello (<a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/setup-windows-hello-facial-recognition-windows-11\/\">face<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/enable-windows-hello-fingerprint-windows-11\/\">fingerprint<\/a>, or PIN).<\/p>\n<p>If you want to try this feature, you&#8217;ll need to install the 1Password (beta) on your computer. This &#8220;just-in-time&#8221; approach means your main account is protected, and malicious software has a much harder time gaining or holding onto administrative control. All elevated actions now require explicit user authentication, often through Windows Hello, enhancing security and user awareness. This new system also fixes many common UAC bypass vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n<h3>Other fixes and changes<\/h3>\n<p>Microsoft&#8217;s latest build also delivers some additional fixes and changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>File Explorer:<\/strong> Resolved crashes tied to the Home page, restored missing pinned thumbnails, and fixed view persistence issues, including desktop icons.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start menu:<\/strong> Cleaned up duplicate folder entries and smoothed out folder expand animations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Input:<\/strong> Addressed a major <strong>ctfmon.exe<\/strong> crash impacting keyboard input reliability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lock Screen:<\/strong> Fixed a memory leak related to slideshow backgrounds, improving long-term performance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>System:<\/strong> Dialogs now better support text scaling, and boot sound regression (Vista chime) has been corrected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, the company is temporarily disabling Voice Access support for Japanese to address some problems, and it&#8217;s noting some known issues for the Start menu, Xbox Controllers, <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/use-click-to-do-windows-11\/\">Click to Do<\/a>, File Explorer, and Widgets.<\/p>\n<h2>Installation process<\/h2>\n<p>To download and install this Windows 11 build, <a href=\"https:\/\/pureinfotech.com\/install-windows-11-insider-preview-builds\/\">enroll your device\u00a0in the<strong> Dev and Beta <\/strong><strong>Channel<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0through the &#8220;Windows Insider Program&#8221; settings from the &#8220;Update &amp; Security&#8221; section.
