However, it&#8217;s important to note that as new browser versions are released, the company sometimes makes changes permanent, with no way to disable them.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, you can disable the AI buttons in the latest version of the browser, but it may come to the time when these settings may disappear.<\/p>\n<p>If you change your mind, you can always re-enable the feature using the same steps, but in this case, you would have to select the<strong> &#8220;Enabled&#8221;<\/strong> option for <strong>&#8220;AI Mode Omnibox entrypoint,&#8221; &#8220;AI Entrypoint Disabled on User Input,&#8221; &#8220;Omnibox Allow AI Mode Matches,&#8221;<\/strong> <strong>&#8220;AI Mode Omnibox Entrypoint always navigates,&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;NTP Compose Entrypoint,&#8221;<\/strong> (or <strong>&#8220;NTP Composebox&#8221;<\/strong>) and the restart the browser to apply the changes.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"disable_aimode_chrome_regedit\">Disable Google&#8217;s AI Mode buttons using Registry<\/h2>\n<p>To disable the AI Mode on Google Chrome using the Registry, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Open <strong>Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Search for <strong>regedit<\/strong> and click the top result to open the Registry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Browse the following and press <strong>Enter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Right-click the newly created key and\u00a0select\u00a0<strong>Modify<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.2rem;\">Set applied the changes yet. During testing, I observed that these Registry tweaks do not always take effect immediately across all Chrome installations.
